Baby’s first Christmas is a pretty big deal for parents but a <1 year old won’t have much memory of the day nor will they be likely to be very involved in the present opening and items inside. I know most kids of this age enjoy the paper and boxes more often than the gifts so I’m keeping this list pretty practical but throwing some good developmental toys in as well.
For those that want to stay practical you can have a little fun picking out clothes and sheets but a huge help on the budget for new parents is helping stock up diapers. Teething also becomes an issue around 4-6 months and of course the cold weather is a concern and much harder on little ones.
For those that want to stay fun or are looking for stocking stuffers and educational toys then this list is for you. I love that most of these toys are not only good for busy time so you can cook dinner in peace but also great for teaching all about motor skills.
